Lukas Podolski is eagerly anticipating Arsenal’s “big home game” against Premier League champions Manchester City this weekend.

The Gunners are hoping to get back to winning ways after a 2-2 draw with Everton was followed by a frustrating 1-1 stalemate with Leicester City in their most recent outing.

Arsenal have the opportunity to leapfrog Manuel Pellegrini’s men and move into third place if the Gunners secure victory in north London in Saturday’s early kick-off.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side have failed to beat the Eastlands outfit in their last four attempts in the Premier League, drawing 1-1 with the champions in March.

Podolski on Instagram: “Good training session today, focus for the big home game Saturday! #AFC #Training #Poldi #aha #Power #Focus #LP9 #RedArmy”

Arsenal did beat City in their most recent meeting as Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud scored in a 3-0 victory in the Community Shield at Wembley.
