Arsenal target Julian Draxler is one of the biggest young talents in Europe, according to his Schalke team-mate Kevin Prince Boateng.

The forward was one of the Bundesliga outfit’s standout performers as Jens Keller’s men secured a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

Draxler, who has 15 goals in 110 German top-flight appearances, has been regularly linked with Arsenal and Chelsea over the past 12 months but a move has failed to materialise.

But former Portsmouth and Tottenham midfielder Boateng described Draxler as one of the best young prospects in Europe as the Ghanaian paid tribute to Draxler on his 21st birthday.

“Happy birthday to one of the biggest young talents in Europe!!! #draxler #whataplayer” Boateng posted on Instagram.

Draxler, who has scored once in 13 appearances for Germany, swapped shirts with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba following the full-time whistle.
