Jack Wilshere refused to let Arsenal’s midweek Champions League defeat get him down as he enjoyed some downtime with his son Archie on Thursday.

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes as Arsene Wenger’s men slumped to a disappointing 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

But the 22-year-old England international appeared to be in good spirits as he posted a relaxed picture of himself with his son Archie, who turns three later this month.

Wilshere posted the picture above on Instagram and wrote: “Wilshere boys rocking the sweep!”

Arsenal travel to Aston Villa on Saturday looking to notch up their first Premier League win since the opening-day victory over Crystal Palace.

The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by Manchester City in their last league outing at Emirates Stadium last weekend.
