Daley Blind says it is good to be in Manchester after returning from international duty ahead of his potential Old Trafford debut on Sunday.

The 24-year-old signed a long-term deal with the Red Devils on transfer deadline day last week after Manchester United agreed a £14m deal with Ajax.

Blind was unable to help the Netherlands avoid defeat in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday night as the Czech Republic were 2-1 winners against the Dutch.

The United signing, who is capable of playing at full-back or in midfield, could make his first Red Devils appearance against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford this weekend.

And Blind, who was named Dutch footballer of the year for his performances at Ajax last season, is excited to return to his new home.

“Good to be in Manchester again! #MUFC” Blind posted on Instagram.

United are still searching for their first Premier League win under new manager Louis van Gaal.
