Daniel Sturridge described lining up for England as a “pleasure and an honour” after Wednesday’s 1-0 friendly win over Norway.
The Liverpool striker played 89 minutes at Wembley as Roy Hodgson’s men edged to their first victory in five games.
And the forward took to his Instagram account on Thursday to reflect on the win, posting the picture above and writing: “Always a pleasure and honour. Good vibes… #england”
Sturridge, 25, also posted a picture of himself with a young fan who has been battling illness after the game.
He wrote: “Met this great kid at the game yesterday called Alfie Young.
“He looks like any young kid but he has a tumour and doesn’t have very long to live.
“God willing he can overcome this difficult situation. Great kid and great banter and he even did my dance. Puts my life into perspective. Be grateful….”
