Daniel Sturridge has been spending his time recovering from a thigh injury by reflecting on his Liverpool career so far.

The 25-year-old has been ruled out of action for two to three weeks after the Reds striker incurred the problem during England training on Friday.

Sturridge is expected to miss the visit of Aston Villa at Anfield this weekend, and is set to be sidelined for subsequent games against Ludogorets Razgrad, West Ham United and Middlesbrough.

In a bid to stay positive, the Liverpool striker posted a photo of a goal celebration with former Reds defender Jamie Carragher from the 2012/13 campaign.

“Priceless memories…” Sturridge posted on Instagram.

Earlier, Sturridge reassured Liverpool supporters that he would be back in action soon following his latest injury blow.

“Keeping the faith and working hard.. Back soon,” Sturridge said.

Sturridge scored 21 goals in 29 Premier League appearances last season.
