Ross Barkley was quick to voice his approval on social media after Phil Jagielka’s stunning late strike earned Everton a draw at Liverpool.

Steven Gerrard gave the home side a second-half lead at Anfield when he scored from a free-kick in the 65th minute.

However, Jagielka earned the Toffees a point when he rifled home a sensational shot in the 90th minute to delight the travelling fans.

Barkley, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, took to Instagram shortly after the final whistle to salute the defender’s strike.

The midfielder posted the picture above and wrote: “Have a bit of that @pjags06.”

The draw left Liverpool 12th in the Premier League table with seven points from their opening six games, while Everton were 13th with six.
