Jose Enrique picked the best tour guide to show the Liverpool defender around Paris after hanging out with current team-mate and former PSG defender Mamadou Sakho.

The Spanish left-back is fully fit following a lengthy spell on the sidelines after a knee injury which prematurely ended his 2013/14 season.

Enrique wasn’t selected as part of Vicente del Bosque’s Spain squad, who face Macedonia in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday night.

Liverpool centre-half Sakho was part of Laurent Blanc’s side that beat the reigning European champions 1-0 in a friendly on Thursday night.

And Enrique, who is facing competition from Alberto Moreno for the left-back spot this season, caught up with Sakho before leaving Paris.

“Amazing lunch with @mamadousakho3 . Perfect end to our weekend here in Paris. Thanks for everything my friend,” Enrique posted on Instagram.

Brendan Rodgers’s Liverpool side face Aston Villa at Anfield in Saturday’s evening kick-off.
