Mario Balotelli appears to be weighing up his options for Liverpool’s Halloween party after posing as Batman villain Bane on Instagram.

The Reds striker is no stranger to goofing around, so the Italy international will be expected to raise the stakes for this year’s party.

And Balotelli, who moved to Anfield in a £16m deal from AC Milan this summer, used a mask and his Liverpool training kit to morph into Batman’s nemesis.

“Mb459 #bane #ynwa #puma ! Lol,” Balotelli posted on Instagram.

Reds supporters will hope that Balotelli can demonise the West Ham United defence when the Merseyside outfit make the trip to Upton Park on Saturday evening.

Earlier this summer, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard met James Bond actor Daniel Craig, prompting speculation that the 34-year-old could be set to dress up as 007 this autumn.

Gerrard scored Liverpool’s stoppage-time winner in a 2-1 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League on Tuesday night after Balotelli’s first Reds goal had been cancelled out in the 90th minute.
