Jordan Rossiter has thanked fans for the messages of support he has received following his Liverpool debut on Tuesday night.

Rossiter became the Reds’ second-youngest goalscorer aged 17 as Brendan Rodgers’ men beat Middlesbrough on penalties to reach the fourth round of the League Cup.

The midfielder, who has been at the Merseyside’s club’s academy since he was six, posted a photo of his goal celebration along with the message below on Twitter.

Liverpool teenager Jordan Williams was also quick to pay tribute to the support he has received since his substitute appearance in the cup clash at Anfield.

Both players also earned praise from Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva.
