Jose Enrique is ready for the long trip to east London after posting a photo with Liverpool team-mate Suso on Instagram.

The Spanish left-back is still waiting to make his first start since recovering from a long-term knee injury which cut short his 2013/14 season.

Enrique is facing increased competition for a starting spot following the £12m arrival of Alberto Moreno from Europa League winners Sevilla this summer.

The 22-year-old has made an instant impact, too, scoring his first goal in a 3-0 victory at White Hart Lane before teeing up Mario Balotelli against Ludogorets mid-week.

However, Liverpool defender Enrique is relishing being part of Brendan Rodgers’s match day squad judging by his Instagram account, posing alongside Suso.

“Ready to travel with my usual friend #suso,” Enrique posted on Instagram.

Enrique was part of the Liverpool side that won the Capital One Cup in 2012.
