Mario Balotelli has told Daniel Sturridge to brush up on his dance moves after wishing the Liverpool striker a happy birthday.

Sturridge, who turned 25 on Monday, helped Liverpool record a convincing 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Balotelli, who joined Liverpool from AC Milan in a £16m deal last week, appears to have already settled into the rhythm of things at the Anfield club.

The Italy striker posted a picture of Sturridge performing his trademark goal celebration on Instagram and wrote: “Happy birthday bro:-) i hope now.. that u are older you will get better in dancing !!! LOL”

Balotelli played for an hour on his debut as Liverpool notched up their second win of the season in north London.

Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe was also quick to wish England international Sturridge a happy birthday.

Ibe wrote on Twitter: “Happy birthday to my big bro @D_Sturridge Wishing you a ” Ohh Kill’em ” day. Watching and learning from this player is a blessing..”
