Luis Suarez has bid a final farewell to his Liverpool team-mates at the club’s Melwood training ground.

The Uruguay international returned to Merseyside to collect some personal items on Monday morning as Suarez continues to adjust to life in Spain after a £75m switch to Barcelona this summer.

27-year-old Suarez was a key part of the Reds side which challenged for the Premier League title last season, scoring 31 goals in 33 top-flight appearances.

And the South American posed alongside Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, right-back Glen Johnson and full-back Jon Flanagan for a final photo.

Suarez, who moved to Liverpool in a £22.75m deal from Ajax in January 2011, scooped the PFA player of the year award last season.
