Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva returns to training after a hamstring injury
Rafael da Silva is ready to help Manchester United after the full-back returned to first-team training.
The Brazil international hasn’t featured under new manager Louis van Gaal after returning from their pre-season tour of USA with a hamstring injury.
It means the United boss has been playing Antonio Valencia in a right wing-back position as the Dutchman persists with his 3-5-2 formation.
But Rafael handed the Red Devils a boost as he stepped up his return from injury ahead of United’s clash against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
“5 years ago young skinny rafael good memories. Back in training ready to help. Let’s goo” Rafael posted on Instagram.
Rafael has scored five goals in 99 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils since making his debut in 2008.
The Brazilian’s twin brother Fabio called time on his United career last season, completing a move to Cardiff City.
