Roberto Soldado has taken to Instagram to reveal his delight at helping to fire Tottenham into the fourth round of the League Cup.

The striker netted Spurs’ second goal as the north London side came from behind to seal a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.

After falling behind in the 61st minute, Spurs substitute Ryan Mason equalised with a long-range effort before Soldado deflected Andros Townsend’s shot in to make it 2-1.

Harry Kane then set up a fourth-round clash with Brighton and Hove Albio with a cool finish.

Soldado posted the picture above on Instagram after the game and wrote: “Great team reaction and deserve victory!!!

“Really happy with the squad and my goal!!”
