Robin van Persie takes to Instagram to reveal his delight at helping Manchester United beat West Ham

Robin van Persie has taken to Instagram to reveal his delight at helping Manchester United seal victory over West Ham on Saturday.

The Netherlands striker scored the Red Devils’ second goal at Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal’s side notched up just their second league win of the season.

And the 31-year-old, who has netted twice in five top-flight games this term, hailed the victory by sharing some photos from the 2-1 win.

Van Persie posted the picture above on Instagram on Sunday morning and wrote: “Very happy with the win yesterday! Amazing atmosphere @manchesterunited.”

The win left United seventh in the Premier League table with eight points from their opening six games.

They next face Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday looking to record their third victory of the campaign.
