John Terry admitted his disappointment at Chelsea’s failure to secure victory in their Champions League opener – despite having six pairs of boots at his disposal!

Jose Mourinho’s men were held to a 1-1 draw by Bundesliga side Schalke at Stamford Bridge despite taking the lead in the encounter.

Captain Terry posted a snap from Chelsea’s dressing room on Instagram, and wrote: “Disappointing not winning tonight, but a long way to go in the group. Thanks for all your support at the Bridge tonight. #Nike”

Cesc Fabregas made it 1-0 early on with his first goal since joining the west London club from Barcelona over the summer.

But Klaas-Jan Huntelaar earned a point for the visitors when he equalised after half-time.

Chelsea managed seven shots on target during the course of the night, while Schalke notched up five.
