Kyle Walker is enjoying some relaxation time after the Tottenham Hotspur defender underwent an operation on a lower abdominal injury last week.

The England full-back has been sidelined since for five months with the problem which ruled the Spurs right-back out of this summer’s World Cup.

Last week, Tottenham released a statement which read: “Kyle Walker has undergone lower abdominal surgery.

“The England right-back’s pre-season preparations were disrupted by the abdominal injury and the decision to have surgery was taken following further medical assessment by specialists.”

And the 24-year-old full-back, who signed a deal to stay at Spurs until 2019 last October, caught up on hit US show Californication as the Tottenham defender recovers from his operation.

“Chilled day! If you know you know #Californication,” Walker posted on Instagram.

Walker racked up 50 appearances in all competitions last season, but the right-back hasn’t featured for Spurs since a 3-1 loss to Portuguese side Benfica in the Europa League in March.
