Wayne Rooney took to Instagram on Wednesday to look back at his Manchester United debut 10 years ago.

The United captain netted a memorable hat-trick against Fenerbahce in the Champions League on 28 September 2004 following his switch to Old Trafford from Everton.

And Rooney posted the picture above on the photo-sharing website, along with the message: “On Sunday it will be 10 years since my #mufc debut.

“Check out @manchesterunited to find out how you can win one of my signed shirts!”

The England captain has scored 218 goals in 446 appearances for the Red Devils since joining the club a decade ago.

The 28-year-old has netted two goals and made two assists so far for United this season.
