Louis van Gaal tasted his second Premier League defeat as Manchester United manager after Leicester City were 5-3 winners at King Power Stadium.

It looked like business as usual when Robin van Persie and Angel di Maria put United into a 2-0 lead inside 16 minutes, before Lenardo Ulloa halved the deficit to offer the newly-promoted side some hope.

United reasserted their dominace when Ander Herrera netted in the 57th minute, but David Nugent scored from the spot before summer signing Esteban Cambiasso levelled with 26 minutes still to play.

Not content to settle for a point, the home side pushed on and Jamie Vardy put Leicester in front for the first time on Sunday afternoon before Ulloa bagged his brace to seal a famous eight-goal victory.

Former United defender Phil Neville was particularly critical of Mark Clattenburg’s decision to award a second-half penalty which allowed Nugent to kick-start the Leicester comeback.

“The penalty decision changed the game shocking decision!” Neville posted on Twitter.
