Brendan Rodgers kept a watchful eye on his Liverpool squad as they enjoyed a spot of head tennis in training on Thursday.

The Reds were put through their paces at Melwood ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with West Ham United.

Adam Lallana and Fabio Borini were among the players to take part in the head tennis game during the session.

Liverpool take on the Hammers looking to bounce back from their surprise 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa at Anfield last weekend.

Rodgers’ side did make a winning start to their Champions League campaign, however, as they secured a 2-1 victory over Ludogorets on Merseyside in midweek.

Mario Balotelli got on the scoresheet and enjoyed some table tennis with Raheem Sterling on Thursday too.

Here are some of the best pictures from Thursday’s session at Melwood.
