Liverpool made it back-to-back Premier League defeats after West Ham United were 3-1 winners against the Reds at Upton Park on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers’s side were 2-0 down inside seven minutes after Winston Reid rose above the Liverpool defence to break the deadlock before Diafra Sakho chipped Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool, who registered a 2-1 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League on Tuesday night, hit back through Raheem Sterling after the forward scored his third goal of the season.

However, the Reds couldn’t find a second-half equaliser, and Morgan Amalfitano capitalised on another defensive mix up to put the three points beyond doubt for the Hammers.

“”It was disappointing,” Rodgers told BBC Sport.

“We knew this would be a tough game but we were 2-0 down before we started. I thought we reacted well but we were risking the game at the end and unfortunately for us it was a day of too many mistakes.”

Here is a selection of the best photos as West Ham beat Liverpool in east London.
