Kevin Pietersen and Michael Vaughan are quick to hail Joe Root after his century at Headingley
Joe Root struck a majestic century in the fifth and final one-day international between England and India at the Yorkshireman’s home ground Headingley as England finally posted a compeitive total.
Root struck a brilliant 113 from just 108 balls as he guided his side to 294-7 from their fifty overs, with the help of Jos Buttler (49), Alastair Cook (46) and Ben Stokes (29*).
