Kevin Pietersen and Michael Vaughan take to Twitter after India beat England by nine wickets in fourth ODI

England were outplayed in every department as India romped to a nine-wicket victory and with it an unassailable 3-0 lead in the ODI series with one match to play.

Ajinkya Rahane compiled a majestic 106 as India chased down England’s meagre 206 with ease, whilst Moeen Ali top-scored for the hosts with 67 from 50 balls.

Exiled former England batsman Kevin Pietersen (@KP24) highlighted the impact of IPL cricket as the reason for the gulf in class between the two sides: “You are seeing a young Indian side here in which the players are being schooled every year in the IPL…They smash the likes of Steyn, Johnson, Starc etc every week, which gives them a collective confidence to do it in international cricket”
