Radamel Falcao is clearly in a cheery mood following his move to Manchester United.

The Colombia striker, who joined the Red Devils on a season-long loan deal last week, took to Twitter on Monday to personally thank Juan Mata for his welcome to the club.

Mata had earlier welcomed the 28-year-old to Old Trafford by revealing his delight at the signing on his personal blog, One Hour Behind.

“Almost at the end of the transfer window we had a new signing,” Mata wrote.

“Not just a player, but a fantastic striker whose ability to score is extraordinary: Radamel Falcao.

“I am sure he will give a lot to our group, as a person and with his goals, and here I welcome him and I wish him the best for this season.”
