Liverpool edged to a 2-1 Champions League victory over Ludogorets thanks to Steven Gerrard’s stoppage-time penalty at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers’s side had taken an 82nd-minute lead after Mario Balotelli’s first Liverpool goal, only for Ludogorets forward Dani Abalo to equalise as the Group D clash crept into added time.
