Chelsea fans have finished top of the pile in a recent survey showing the correlation between what club you support and how often supporters cheat on their partners per year.

It is the first time in four years the Blues have claimed the not-so-sought-after title after notching an average of 4.05 cheats per year.

The survey, conducted with 4,500 members of a leading extramarital dating site, found that Chelsea fans top be the least-faithful charts as Liverpool came a close second with 3.81.

Despite a poor finish in the league last term, Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United side are obviously getting the job done off the pitch with an all-important top-four finish (3.66).

Queens Park Rangers fans have been named the most faithful in the premier league (0.51), while all of the English sides have been eclipsed by their Champions League counterparts.

Big spending Paris Saint-German are the worst in Europe extramarital transfers with a substantial 4.28 cheats per year, while Barcelona are back at the top of the pile in Spain (4.01) and Hamburger SV fans have usurped their big spending rivals to be the best in Germany (3.82).
