Thierry Henry would make an incredible Arsenal manager, according to former Gunners midfielder Ray Parlour.

The France legend is seeing out the final days of his playing career in Major League Soccer, helping the New York Red Bulls win the Eastern Conference last year.

I think Thierry Henry would make an incredible manager, he’s very intelligent

Ray Parlour

Henry, who has a statue outside The Emirates, won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups during a seven-year career at the north London side before joining Barcelona in 2007.

And another Arsenal legend, Parlour, reckons his former team-mate would make a great manager, although he would like to see Everton’s Roberto Martinez replace Arsene Wenger when the current boss’s reign does end.

“At the moment I’m sticking with Arsene Wenger [for Arsenal manager],” Parlour wrote on Sportlobster.

“One day they’ll need one and I reckon someone in the mould of Martinez would work well.

“I’d love to see Dennis Bergkamp in the setup and I think Thierry Henry would make an incredible manager, he’s very intelligent.”

Henry is Arsenal’s all-time record goal-scorer after 228 goals in all competitions.
