John Terry has showcased his undoubted competitive streak after posting CCTV footage of his ping-pong victory over Jamie Redknapp to Instagram.

The Chelsea captain, who played alongside Redknapp’s cousin Frank Lampard for 13 years at Stamford Bridge, is still considered one of the Premier League’s best centre-halves.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Redknapp has often shown his winning attitude on popular Sky One show, League Of Their Own.

So the ex-England international will no doubt be furious with Terry for posting his two-set loss to the 34-year-old Chelsea centre-half’s Instagram.

Earlier this week, Terry heaped praise on Chelsea striker Diego Costa after the Spaniard’s seven goals in four Premier League games.

“Congratulations to Diego Costa on his first Chelsea hat-trick,” Terry said.

“They were three great finishes and you can see he is hungry for more. He has made a big impact for us so far and to have seven goals in his four games is unbelievable.”
