Video: Look away Wenger! Arsenal No1 Szczesny ‘goes flying’
Video: Arsenal and Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny tries an anti-gravity machine during international duty
Wojciech Szczesny is one of the most agile goalkeepers in the Premier League, but the Arsenal number one had to call on his world-class talent for non-footballing reasons during the international break.
The Poland international, who is facing competition for a first-team spot from summer signing David Ospina, is expected to line up against European minnows Gibraltar on Sunday night.
The 22-year-old enjoyed some time away from first-team training to try out an anti-gravity machine, using all his agility to avoid picking up an inconvenient injury.
And the Arsenal first-choice goalkeeper appeared to enjoy a unique workout ahead of Poland’s opening 2016 European championship qualifier.
“Well, that was fun!” Szczesny posted.
Szczesny has conceded four goals in three Premier League games as Arsenal beat Crystal Palace before draws with Everton and Leicester City.
The Pole is coming to terms with the departure of his compatriot Lukasz Fabianski, who completed a move to Premier League rivals Swansea City this summer.
