Mathieu Flamini could return for Arsenal’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Arsene Wenger has revealed.

The French midfielder has been out of action with a dead leg but is in line to be ready for Spurs’ visit to Emirates Stadium.

Wenger said: “The only difference compared to Villa and Southampton is that Mathieu Flamini might be available again. He had a dead leg. I feel he should be back.”

The Arsenal boss also confirmed that Nacho Monreal remains sidelined with a back problem.

“Everyone else is similar to where they were,” Wenger added. “Monreal is not back yet. The likes of [Olivier] Giroud, [Mathieu] Debuchy and [Theo] Walcott are unavailable.”

Arsenal head into the clash looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season after their victory at Aston Villa last weekend.
