Aaron Ramsey hails ‘good shift’ as Arsenal beat Sunderland
Aaron Ramsey praises Arsenal for putting in a good shift after Saturday's 2-0 win at Sunderland
Aaron Ramsey has taken to Twitter to praise Arsenal’s all-round performance after the Gunners beat Sunderland 2-0 on Saturday.
Alexis Sanchez scored either side of half-time to hand Arsene Wenger’s side their first Premier League win since 20 September.
The victory hoisted the Gunners up to fifth place in the table, and Ramsey, who was a late substitute at the Stadium of Light, was pleased with the result.
Ramsey tweeted: “Back in London, glad to have got the 3 points yesterday, boys put in a good shift. Feet up and football on this afternoon.”
Speaking after the game, manager Wenger accepted that there is still plenty of room for improvement from his team.
“In life you can always improve but what was important for us today was to get the three points and keep a clean sheet,” said Wenger.
