Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Alexis Sanchez following the Chilean’s impressive start to life at Arsenal.

The 25-year-old hit both goals as the Gunners ran out 2-0 winners at Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.

He’s very efficient and he really plays to win

The forward has now scored five times and made three assists since arriving at the north London club from Barcelona over the summer.

And Wenger was pleased with Sanchez’s display following Saturday’s victory at the Stadium of Light.

“He kept going, Alexis,” Wenger told Arsenal Player. “He goes at you – he’s not frightened to go forward.

“Sometimes you think his passing is not quick enough but he’s very efficient and he really plays to win. He’s a winner.”
