Alexis Sanchez reminds me of Luis Suarez, says Arsenal forward
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hails Alexis Sánchez's ability to create something from nothing
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has likened Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to former Liverpool star Luis Suarez.
The Chile international scored either side of half-time at the Stadium of Light to help Arsenal secure a 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.
He reminds me of Luis Suarez when he chases everything down and he makes nothing into something
Sanchez has scored five goals since completing a £35m move to The Emirates, leaving Barcelona as Suarez arrived from Liverpool at Camp Nou.
And Arsenal forward Oxlade-Chamberlain says the South American’s ability to create something from nothing is similar to Suarez.
“He’s a world-class player – everyone saw that at the World Cup,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal’s website.
“He’s proved that and he’s played for Barcelona where we’ve all seen what he’s done.
“He’s an unbelievable player and part of his game is his character and his hard work – that’s where he’s got both his goals from today.
“He reminds me of Luis Suarez when he chases everything down and he makes nothing into something. He’s done that for us twice today and he’s scored goals at important times for us.”
