Andy Murray is one win away from guaranteeing his place at the 2014 season-ending ATP World Tour Finals.

The Scot sealed a 6-3 6-4 victory over Julien Benneteau in the second round of the Paris Masters on Wednesday to edge closer to booking his spot at the tournament.

Murray takes on Grigor Dimitrov for a place in the quarter-finals in the French capital and will secure a berth at the prestigious tournament with victory over the Bulgarian.

“If I get there I will be pleased because I’ve worked hard the last few weeks,” Murray said.

Murray, 27, could qualify without even hitting a ball on Thursday, too. If Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer,Milos Raonic play before Murray and lose, the Scot will guarantee his place at the O2 Arena.
