Arsene Wenger is adamant that Arsenal can still win the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are eighth in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Chelsea after a 2-0 loss to the Blues at Stamford Bridge before the international break earlier this month.

Wenger hasn’t guided the north London side to league title glory since 2004, although the Gunners ended their nine-year trophy drought thanks to their FA Cup final triumph at Wembley in May.

While the 64-year-old manager admitted Manchester City are a more complete side, Wenger refused to rule his Arsenal outfit out of contention for the Premier League crown.

“It is massive, the nine points after seven games, I agree completely, but it is not lost,” Wenger told beIN Sports.

“I believe that maybe, going forward, City are a bit more complete.

“City are more offensive. Chelsea defensively are better but it’s very difficult to say who will be in front but what we want to do is be in front of both of them.”

Arsenal face Hull City at The Emirates on Saturday.
