Georginio Wijnaldum has hinted that he could leave PSV Eindhoven next summer amid reported interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 23-year-old has scored three goals in nine Eredivisie appearances this season, continuing to build on his form from last term.

And PSV midfielder Wijnaldum, who has 12 Oranje caps, is hoping to move abroad in the near future to further his career.

“Next summer would be a great time to take the next step,” Wijnaldum told De Telegraaf.

“PSV also know that I am keen to play abroad, I am the age for it. Although I like it here, I do not want to become too old to go abroad, because I want to play there for a few years.

“The more time I take in going, the shorter my career abroad becomes.”

Wijnaldum added that he wants to help fire PSV to the Eredivisie title before leaving the Dutch side.

“First I want to be champion with PSV, and I will fight for it,” Wijnaldum added.

“If a club have been good to you and have always been there for you, I feel obliged to do me something in return for that club. I therefore do not wish to leave PSV straight away.”
