Antonio Rudiger has fuelled speculation linking him with a transfer to Arsenal by declaring that he is a keen admirer of the north London club.

The Stuttgart defender has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League in recent months, and is reported to have attracted the interest of both Chelsea and the Gunners.

But the 20-year-old centre-half appears to have his heart set on a transfer to Emirates Stadium if his latest comments are anything to go by.

“I have always dreamed of the Premier League,” Rudiger told Bild.

“I have been following Arsenal since the days of Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.

“I watch videos of Arsenal all the time on YouTube and I often wear the current Alexis Sanchez shirt. My heart beats for Arsenal.”
