Chelsea transfers: Jose Mourinho reveals Raphael Varane admiration

Chelsea boss admits that he is a keen admirer of the Real Madrid defender

Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is a keen admirer of Raphael Varane but does not expect Real Madrid to sell the defender.

Mourinho gave Varane his debut at the Spanish club back in September 2011 during his spell in charge at the Bernabeu.

Now, the Chelsea boss has suggested that he would be keen to bring the France international to the Stamford Bridge club but does not believe that Los Blancos would be prepared to let the 21-year-old leave the Spanish capital.

“I Like Varane, but everybody knows that he will stay at Real Madrid,” Mourinho told Telefoot.

“France has a lot of good players like Varane, Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema and Hugo Lloris. They can win Euro 2016.

“I have a lot of respect for Didier Deschamps. In the World Cup, we saw a great French team.”
