Marouane Fellaini knows what’s expected now and he seems to have settled down, says Bryan Robson
Marouane Fellaini has learnt what is expected of him as a Manchester United player, according to Bryan Robson.
The Belgium international has earned plenty of plaudits after keeping Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas quiet during a 1-1 draw with the Blues on Sunday.
He knows what’s expected now and he seems to have settled down and is playing the football he was playing for Everton
Fellaini has started just two Premier League under new manager Louis van Gaal after being made a scapegoat of David Moyes’s doomed 11-month reign at Old Trafford.
And United legend Robson praised the 26-year-old midfielder’s recent performances against Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion.
“I think it’s a little bit too early but I do see signs,” Robson is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.
“I think Fellaini has been one of these players who’s come to Man United, and found it totally different to any other club.
“The expectations, and the way United are expected to play football from the fans.
“The first season, he didn’t really find his feet, but I think he knows what it’s all about now and the last couple of performances have been very good.
“He’s found where he is. He knows what’s expected now and he seems to have settled down and is playing the football he was playing for Everton.”
