Jordan Henderson is hoping to score more than 10 goals for Liverpool this season.

The 24-year-old midfielder has netted once and made three assists so far this term as he looks to become a regular threat in front of goal.

And the England international has set his sights on improving his return this season.

“I think it is achievable,” said Henderson when asked if he could achieve double figures this season. “I still think I need to improve in that area, which I’ve said many times before.

“I need to keep getting better so I continue to work on that. I need to keep getting in the right areas to score goals. Hopefully I can improve on last season and get into double figures.

“In the conversations I’ve had with the manager, he always wants me to get forward – whatever position I play in – and try to be a threat on goal. I need to keep doing that, it doesn’t matter from what position.”
