Luis Garcia is no stranger to special European nights at Anfield, and the Liverpool legend is hoping for an amazing atmosphere for the visit of Real Madrid.

The Reds take on the Champions League holders as Brendan Rodgers’s side bid to get back to winning ways after a 1-0 loss at Basel earlier this month.

Madrid are currently top of Group B thanks to a 2-1 victory over Ludogorets after starting the defence of their crown with a 5-1 win against Basel.

But Garcia, who was a key of Rafael Benitez’s Liverpool side that won the Champions League in 2005, can’t wait for another memorable European night.

Garcia wasn’t named on the bench for Liverpool’s 2-1 loss to AC Milan in their second Champions League final in two years in 2007.

The former Barcelona forward scored 30 goals in 121 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool before joining Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool supporters will hope Garcia proves a lucky charm after the midfielder watched Atletico beat Madrid at the Bernabeu earlier this season.
