Mario Balotelli has a hunger to win, says Liverpool’s assistant manager
Colin Pascoe defends under pressure striker Mario Balotelli
Colin Pascoe is confident Mario Balotelli’s Liverpool move will work out as the Italian shows hunger and desire to win.
Balotelli has been heavily scrutinised in recent weeks after extending his goalless run to eight games since netting against Ludogorets last month.
Everything will be alright with Mario because you know his hunger is there and he wants to win
The Italy international has scored just that one goal since his £16m move to Liverpool from AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
But Liverpool assistant manager Pascoe is happy with Balotelli’s work ethic in training, adding that the striker is keen to improve.
“He works hard, he is a great talent and every day on the training pitch you can see he wants to do more,” Pascoe said.
“At the end he is always asking to do more things.
“Everything will be alright with Mario because you know his hunger is there and he wants to win.
“After every training session he wants to do shooting, passing – he wants to do everything, to work on his game. We as coaches will help him that way.”
