Mesut Ozil appears to have rubbished reports linking him with a transfer away from Arsenal with a subtle tweet on Monday afternoon.

The 25-year-old has been touted as a January target for Bundesliga side Bayern Munich in recent days following a mixed start to the season for the Germany international.

Ozil is expected to be out of action until the new year after suffering a knee injury during Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to Chelsea earlier this month.

But the playmaker took to Twitter to thank the Arsenal fans for their support, and ended his post with the hashtag #MiaSanArsenal, apparently a play Bayern Munich’s motto ‘Mia San Mia’.

Ozil tweeted: “Thanks for your support following my injury. I’ll come back on the pitch soon as I can to help #AFC. Now and in the future #MiaSanArsenal.”

The former Real Madrid star has scored one goal and made one assist in six Premier League games for Arsenal so far this season.
