Chelsea legend squeezes nine players into his Blues selfie
Didier Drogba has celebrated his first goal since rejoining Chelsea by posting a Blues selfie to Instagram.
The 36-year-old scored from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute after Loic Remy had broken the deadlock for the west London side at Stamford Bridge.
In a memorable night for Chelsea legends, long-serving captain John Terry netted his first goal of the season 14 minutes before half-time.
A Mitja Viler own goal handed the home side a 4-0 lead before Eden Hazard scored a penalty and completed the 6-0 rout in the 90th minute.
And Drogba, who returned to Chelsea after leaving the club in 2012, managed to squeeze all the goal-scorers into his photo.
“Great win boys @oscar_emboaba @johnterry.26 @hazardeden_10 @domsolanke @willianborges88 @____isdrog11____ @zoumzoum5 @petrcech @thibautcourtois but where is @cesarazpi?” Drogba wrote on Instagram.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Drogba admitted it was nice to open his Blues account with a penalty after his memorable last kick in a Chelsea shirt before quitting in 2012.
“To finish [my time at Chelsea] with a penalty and start again with a penalty was nice symmetry. I am really happy because of the way we played today. We scored one, then two and didn’t stop, we continued to play.”
