Filipe Luis got his first taste of Old Trafford as a Chelsea player on Sunday, and the Brazilian defender appeared to thoroughly enjoy the experience despite Robin van Persie’s late equaliser.
The former Atletico Madrid left-back was handed his first Premier League start in the absence of suspended Cesar Azpilicueta as the league leaders took on England’s most-decorated side.
And Luis held his own as Didier Drogba edged Jose Mourinho’s side into a 1-0 lead in the 53rd minute thanks to a powerful header past Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
However, Chelsea were denied the chance to go six points clear at the top of the table after Van Persie finished from close range in the third minute of injury-time.
But the United striker’s late goal didn’t dampen Luis’s spirits as the £20m summer signing took to his Twitter page to reflect on an enthralling Old Trafford clash.

Luis has been limited to three top-flight appearances since his summer move from Atletico, although the full-back has been a regular for the west London side in the Champions League.
