Liverpool defender gets his pumpkins ready for Halloween
Liverpool may have a big game against Hull City on Saturday, but Jose Enrique has still found time to get his house decorated for Halloween.
The Spain international was part of the Liverpool side that sealed a thrilling 3-2 win at Queens Park Rangers in stoppage time last weekend.
Enrique didn’t feature against Real Madrid as the Champions League holders were emphatic 3-0 winners against the five-time European champions at Anfield mid-week.
And the 29-year-old made the most of his free time ahead of the visit of the Tigers, carving designs into two pumpkins ahead of Halloween.
“Ready for Halloween with our pumpkins,” Enrique posted on Instagram.
On Thursday, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insisted the Reds didn’t need a new defence coach despite conceding 19 goals in 12 games.
“There is no chance of us bringing in a defensive coach,” Rodgers said. “We have conceded a large number of soft goals, there’s no argument about that, but I think it is just a lack of coaching time that is hurting us.
“We need to reinforce basic principles at defensive set pieces, but we know that already. We have to get better and we will be working on it.
“When I first came in I was asked whether I would bring someone in to help the strikers score goals. I didn’t, and we got goals anyway.”
