Luis Garcia got all nostalgic on Twitter on Tuesday night after Liverpool’s official account posted a photo of Anfield ahead of their Capital One Cup fourth-round tie.

The Reds face Premier League high-flyers Swansea City for a place in the next round after beating Middlesbrough in a thrilling penalty shootout last month.

Garcia didn’t win the League Cup during his three-year spell at the Merseyside outfit, but was part of Rafael Benitez’s side that lifted the Champions League and FA Cup.

And the former Liverpool playmaker appears to be missing the thrill of playing at the club’s world-famous Anfield ground ahead of their fourth-round clash against Swansea City.

Garcia posted on Twitter: ” RT ‘@LFC: Good evening from a rain-swept Anfield. The pitch looks in immaculate #LFC’ Miss that beautiful carpet.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe backed Mario Balotelli to come good at Anfield.

“He works hard, he is a great talent and every day on the training pitch you can see he wants to do more,” Pascoe said.

“At the end he is always asking to do more things.

“Everything will be alright with Mario because you know his hunger is there and he wants to win.

“After every training session he wants to do shooting, passing – he wants to do everything, to work on his game. We as coaches will help him that way.”
