Corn flakes, a pineapple and plenty of salad was on the menu for Daniel Sturridge after the Liverpool striker paid a late-night visit to Sainsbury’s on Wednesday night.

The 25-year-old, who has been recovering from a thigh injury, posted a picture of himself at the checkout with a range of different items.

Sturridge shared the photo on Instagram and wrote: “Late night shop… What’s everyone’s fave food?”

Other items the England international picked up were tomatoes, a cucumber and some Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut.

Sturridge could make his return to action this weekend when Liverpool travel to Queen Park Rangers in the Premier League on Sunday.

The forward has not featured since picking up a thigh strain while on international duty with Liverpool at the start of September.
