Luke Shaw can't wait for the Manchester derby
Luke Shaw has demanded that Manchester United “bring home” three points ahead of the Manchester derby at The Etihad on Sunday.
The Red Devils make the short trip to Eastlands fresh from a morale-boosting 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea at Old Trafford last weekend.
Louis van Gaal’s side rescued a point in dramatic fashion as Robin van Persie scored a stoppage-time equaliser to cancel out Didier Drogba’s opener.
And Shaw, who joined United in a £27m deal from Southampton in the summer, is looking forward to making his first appearance in a Manchester derby this weekend.
Shaw posted on Instagram: “Let’s bring home the 3 points, looking forward to the #ManchesterDerby !!#ComeOnYouReds”
Earlier this week, Shaw revealed that his father has swapped allegiances from Chelsea to United after the left-back’s summer move to Old Trrafford
“No, no, no. My dad is a United fan now,” Shaw is quoted as saying by London24.
“He’s not Chelsea no more. He is a United fan now and he won’t be too happy because he wanted us to win really badly.”
